'Boudoir Tears' by Pixia: An Empowering Ode to Independence

After 600,000 + streams on Spotify alone, 'Boudoir Tears' is the eighth release from independent Pop singer-songwriter Pixia.
Prior to that, Pixia's musical journey began with the release of her debut EP 'Morphia', followed up by dark-pop single 'If I'm On Your Mind' receiving critical acclaim from BBC Introducing, Great British Radio and A&R Factory.

Pixia's sound is strongly influenced by 80s electro-pop and dark wave and she's been singing and writing since childhood. She performed on local and national stages, both for musical theatre productions and UK talent competitions. With 'Boudoir Tears' Pixia confirms her status as an emerging artist making waves within the Pop-scene.

'Boudoir Tears' reflects on the struggles of young women who are trying to follow their paths and achieve success on their own. It's not only a catchy and danceable track, it's a narrative that gives young women a voice; a voice to those who are tired of being patronized and to those who are building their careers from scratch. The lyrics show the frustrations of sometimes living in a world that underestimates them and their abilities. Pixia sheds light on these tears shed in private moments of mental exhaustion and the yearning for recognition.

In 'Boudoir Tears' Pixia invites us to question the cost of hiding behind a polished exterior. The catchy melodies hide the darker storyline, mirroring the dichotomy of showing a glamorous façade to the world while fighting against internal demons.
As Pixia continues to carve a niche for herself within the music industry, her ability to tackle profound subjects with ease and through catchy tunes mark her as an artist to watch very closely.
