From the UK to Nashville: Caitlin Mae’s Heartfelt Journey with 'Mr. Moving On'

Caitlin Mae is a UK artist who recently moved to Nashville after successfully getting her O-1 Visa for “Artists with Exceptional Talent”. Now she’s already immersed herself right into Nashville’s music sceneAs soon as she arrived, she hit the studio to record her new single, “Mr. Moving On,” at these two legendary places, Love Shack Studios and Blackbird Recording Studio. These studios have a huge reputation for high-quality and big hits so it was perfect for her and a great opportunity to bring her sound to life. Caitlin co-produced the track herself with her manager, Kim Shrum from Dream Music Group. She also teamed up with Clarke Schleicher for additional vocals, Mark Dobson for mixing, and Lucas Pimentel for mastering.

"Mr. Moving On" holds personal significance for Caitlin. She describes it as a mix of real life and a bit of fiction. She was inspired by a random meeting with a cowboy she ran into in Nashville. She said, “The story starts in October, with the opening line being ‘A little older this October,’ so it only felt right to release it in October.” You can tell that she’s very proud of this track as she put a lot of energy into both the production and her vocals. The song showcases her dynamic, fresh voice, with punchy drums and guitars, with this explosive, catchy chorus that brings the story to life.

This past year has been a big year for Caitlin, who, aside from making a name for herself in Nashville, has been growing her fanbase all over the world. She’s done a European tour and had some amazing shows in the Smoky Mountains, Illinois, and, of course, Nashville itself. She’s proving she can hold her own among Nashville’s best. It appears that, coming from the UK, she adapted to the American country scene with ease which is quite impressive. Each performance and release shows how much she’s dedicated to connect with audiences through her stories.

Caitlin describes the inspiration behind “Mr. Moving On” being about the bittersweet side of love and loss. She says: “It’s a collection of thoughts put to music, and I hope it speaks to those who know what it’s like to lose somebody they didn’t know they loved yet.” This sentiment is a feeling people can grasp and relate to. Watching her make her way in Nashville, it’s clear she’s on track to be a powerful new voice in country music as she brings her unique transatlantic perspective and storytelling to the table which undeniably is connecting with people.
