Just The Empress Reclaims Her Throne with “Want It All”

Atlanta’s own Just The Empress is showing that timing is everything. With the re-release of her single "Want It All" on March 28, she's re-lighting a flame that was first sparked way back in 2019. Written and recorded initially in a tiny studio apartment in Glendale, it’s a song that is a multi-layered examination of ambition, maturity, and battle-hardened self-respect. Teaming up with the acclaimed producer and engineer Timbawolf Bleez, Just The Empress revives a revives a musical treasure that's now being afforded the attention it deserves, mixing trap, melodic rap, with hints of R&B.

"Want It All" is definitely a bop with a catchy hook, but the song is also a snapshot of a significant life change for the artist—an anthem created out of shattering poisonous relationships and embracing her true potential. Just The Empress opens up in her lyrics, detailing her ascension from emotional darkness to artistic freedom. This song is a living diary. The track's energy encapsulates vulnerability and intensity, demonstrating a process of self-discovery and not settling for anything less.

In the studio, Timbawolf Bleez was not only a collaborator, he was also a catalyst. After meeting at a Glendale showcase, their artistic chemistry became a successful collaboration with "Want It All" as the foundation of that endeavor. The recording process alone took Just The Empress out of her comfort zone vocally, forcing her to reach for harmonies and dynamics she had not tried before. With a foundation in music as a saxophonist, she contributed her own melodic sensibilities to the project and together they created a sound that’s as polished as it is personal.

Now, as she begins a new chapter—hosting events, curating stages like ATL Camp N Trip, and creating opportunities for other independent artists—Just The Empress is practicing what she preaches. The message within her song "Want It All" is heard on a deeper level than ever: "People wanna see you do good but never better than them." It's a line that doesn’t just sting—it sticks. As the listeners connect with the song's unwavering honesty, Just The Empress doesn’t just want it all—she’s earning every bit of it.
