"Above All The Ground": A Song from the Smoke and the Soul

In a quiet moment between the mix of flavors and the sizzle of a late-night longing, something unforeseen started to rise — not just steam, but song. "Above All The Ground" was never meant to be more than a whisper of piano keys, a skeletal melody floating through fingers. But as prawn noodles stewed and shadows danced on kitchen walls, a voice — candid, delicate, outlandishly melodic — found its way into the room. Words landed like rain, sudden and sacrosanct. From that moment, there was no withdraw, no revamping the minute it all got to be more than music.

The song itself may be a delicate storm — a profound, cinematic anthem, unguarded however grand in its intimacy. Classical roots weave with inconspicuous jazz emphases, and he stripped-back piano becomes a stage for layered harmonies. It's not just performed; it's lived. There's weight in its quietness, truth in every breath Milena takes between notes. This is a track that holds space for both stillness and swell.

"Above All The Ground" finds its place as the ultimate word on "Chapter 3", Milena's upcoming album, currently in the last strokes of its making.Produced, mixed and mastered by Monsef Chebri at Sonic Brew Preparations, the track closes the record not with a full stop, but with an exhale — the kind that waits. It's a goodbye and a flight, a tender welcome to rise with it, above the noise, above the ground.

Behind the voice may, there's a story steeped in art and resilience. Milena has long danced between genres and borders. A classically trained guitarist since childhood, she wove her early years through the radio waves of Montenegro and the studios of London, lending her voice to both background harmonies and center stage performances. With soul, jazz, pop, and classical strings sewed into her sound, and a journey that spans continents and cultures, Milena doesn't just make music — she creates moments. And "Above All The Ground" is one of her finest yet.
