Aly Berry: A Velvet Voice in the Jazz Night

In the soft silence of a smoky room, where time suspends as if memories and the present intertwine like lovers slow dancing, a stirring voice, rich, sultry, and timeless emerges. That voice belongs to jazz chanteuse Aly Berry whose every note feels dipped in honey and heart ache. Above all, Aly is a storyteller who spins up close, tender stories that resonate with the familiar and sound both fresh and old. Her music is an experience, lasting like the final breath of a honking saxophone solo at midnight.

Before the stage lights of London, her story begins in the calm, quieter northern part of England. Regarding her small town as a cage, Aly with dreams too big made her leap at eighteen, pursuing artistry and ambition in equal measure. Aly is not just beauty but boldness brought with her unique high-interest earning lessons of late-night gigs and long days. She was no stranger to the spotlight, having entered the modeling world at age 14, and the financial capital welcomed her for what it was. She took it all graciously, and like a second melody, began learning the rhythm of the city.

Aly discovered her passion in Mayfair's elite spots which is where she foud her sound. Paul Higgs, a seasoned music producer, fused her long-cherished dreams at his jazz head studios. Their chemistry gelled like music in a harmonious way. Together, they transformed songs into masterpieces brimming with depth from the isolated corners of quiet studios to the frenzied cubicles of jazz cafes. Acclaimed jazz legends attached themselves to the project – tenor sax virtuoso Scott Hamilton, Dave Green playing the rocking double bass, and drummer Neil Bullock, whose sticks have danced with rock ‘n’ roll royalty.

Aly's lead single, "The Wrong Man", expands the scope of jazz – breath like silk pyjamas, vibrant, slow, adorned in roots entwined with lush dimmed delivery of praise. “I said I loved you to the wrong man,” she confesses, as soft piano and brushed drums cradle her voice and the saxophone sings alongside her like an old friend. Aly isn’t entering the jazz world-she’s reshaping it, one velvet note at a time.
