"All About Life": Shani Weiss’s Powerful Celebration of Connection and Community

Melbourne songstress Shani Weiss has for a long time been recognized for her talent to transform everyday truths into emotive songs. Weiss has just released a new EP titled All About Life. Weiss has also been recognized for her down-to-earth songwriting style. Her singing voice holds as much vulnerability as it holds strength.

All About Life’s musical journey kicked off on the 13th of November 2025 at The Toff in Town. The day was a coming together of a whole range of musicians from the Muslim communities, Jewish communities, Coptic communities, churches, to name a few. The day was also significant in the sense that it occurred on Shani’s 40th birthday. This further goes to show that the day was even more significant in terms of being a statement of togetherness.

The six-track EP deals with the dynamics of relationships in general, specifically looking into the relationships between parents and children, partners in a romantic sense, and even friendships. All About Life perhaps explores the connection between one’s relationships and the development of one’s identity. Weiss makes a strong statement about how relationships weave the fabric of our position in the world. All About Life appears to represent the transience of the passage of time in the world around us.

Shani's influence has undeniably grown in the Melbourne music scene. Songs including All About Life, What’s Left, ‘Feel Alright,’ from the EP have not only made their way to the top 30 Songwriters Association in Australia but have also reached the international radio stations. With her successful concert series at the Espy to being aired on Australian and European Radio stations, Weiss continues to build a devoted following while celebrating and promoting local talent through her radio program, Indie Spotlight Melbourne. With awards, appreciation, and a voice that that bridges intimacy and universality, Shani Weiss is solidifying her spot in the Melbourne Indie scene.
