Janet explores the themes of self-love and empowerment after experiencing a series of hard lessons. She was stuck in a toxic relationship with a close friend and musical collaborator. She unfortunately experienced manipulation and gaslighting which made her question herself and her musical abilities.
After breaking free from this toxic dynamic, Janet used the opportunity to rediscover herself and re-focus on her passion for music which led her to release her current single and title track of the EP, 'Love Me More,'. It's a powerful anthem of resilience, a personal declaration and an inspirational message for listeners.
The main theme of empowerment is present throughout the EP, from the assertive "Playing Dumb" to the rebellious "Do What You Want," encouraging listeners to choose their own paths despite what society expects from them. Janet's personal journey also led her to wear multiple hats as she wrote and produced all five songs on the EP. As she decided to embrace her independence, she also chose to work with producers like Kubla Khan and GEKKO who added their expertise to her music.
Janet Noh's journey is one of a kind. She's a classically trained pianist turned pop-R&B songwriter, singer, and producer. She started out as a Wall Street investment banker before returning to music, earning accolades as an international award-winning pianist. After receiving a musical theater writing scholarship to NYU-Tisch and obtaining a Master of Fine Arts, she even made her acting debut with a principal role on Broadway. Now based in New York City, Janet Noh stands as an artist with rich experiences and a promising musical career ahead.
