Emalia Unleashes Empowering New EP 'SUPREME': A Celebration of Self-Confidence and Independence
Emalia has dropped her new EP ‘Supreme’ on May 6th. She’s all about confidence and empowerment in this one. She has a high-energy style and she delivers a smooth flow all the way through. The production and beats are high-quality. The EP really focuses on themes like self-assurance and personal growth, turning it into a strong anthem. Emalia said she wrote these songs to lift herself up when she was going through difficult times. She’s taken some time to learn from these good lessons as well as bad experiences and put all of that in her music. She really hopes her music can uplift others too.
Emalia was excited to create this project. She also worked with a great team; Nardean and Chelsea Warner were on board, with Warner being the executive producer for most of the tracks. Beso Palma, Thom Crawford, and Hugh Lake also joined in, and they added their unique touches to the EP’s sound. Emalia did a lot of the vocal engineering and production herself, recording most of the vocals in her home studio. This is her first project she’s released independently, and it sounds amazing.
The EP starts with the energetic "Stacks" and the track sets the tone for the whole EP. It's all about believing in yourself and most importantly believing in your vision. Emalia’s writing, Warner’s production, and Crawford’s mixing and mastering come together perfectly. Then there’s "Sofa" a seductive track which offers a more soulful experience for the listeners. It reflects on an old romance and has those classic R&B vibes. It's a great mix of sexiness and empowerment.
"U.F.O." and "Angels All Gucci" continue to showcase Emalia's range and depth. "U.F.O." looks at the feeling of not quite fitting in and choosing to accept who you are as a unique individual. The song was produced by Hugh Lake and Thom Crawford. Meanwhile, "Angels All Gucci" has this sultry 90's R&B vibe going on, and it challenges the norms, what you expect from women, while celebrating the fact that more and more of them speak up. The EP closes with the title-track "Supreme," which is this bold declaration of independence and self-love. The lead single speaks about the sexualization of women and highlights the importance of taking personal power back. The whole 'Supreme' EP is a must-listen if you are into contemporary R&B, it fulfills all expectations and more. And for those who need a confidence boost and want to connect with their higher self, ‘Supreme’ would also be the choice to make.
