Salyse's "EVE OF 4/20": A Funky Ode to Resilience and Joy

Salyse's latest single, "EVE OF 4/20" dropped on April 19th. Her track is a great mix of funk, house and soul and it’s a whole vibe. She brings her A-game with this one—funky bassline, a hook that sticks in your head plus powerful vocal ad-libs at the end.  It’s the kind of song that makes you wanna dance but it also uplifts and then you feel like you’re ready to take on anything.

Salyse's been on this musical path since she was 5 when she used to dance her heart out. She studied at some of the most prestigious institutions like the Walnut Hill School for the Arts and Berklee College of Music. She’s also had the opportunity to perform with major groups like Vinyl Groove and The Trap Music Orchestra. Those experiences have helped her become the artist that she is today.

But in "EVE OF 4/20", Salyse was inspired by the way in which people were handling things during the craziest parts of the Covid pandemic. People were trying to find ways to keep sane and keep their spirits up. And this is what this song is all about. It reminds us to live life fully, to chase light even in the darkest moments. It’s a burst of pure positivity, resilience and determination to get through whatever obstacles coming our way.

So, as you press play on "EVE OF 4/20", just let yourself get lost in the rhythm and the overall uplifting lyrics and melodies. It is infectious. Salyse’s voice and this funky vibe will take you off your feet and take you to a place where all worries disappear. Sounds like a mini-vacation for your soul. Because in a world filled with uncertainties, music like this tells us there’s always a reason to dance, smile, and to keep that hope alive.
