From Classroom to Center Stage: Natalie Clark Releases New Single ‘A Place Called Home’

Natalie Clark's story is like a real-life fairy tale. She was a Scottish schoolteacher until something really nuts happened. At a BBC Radio 1 event with Nick Grimshaw, she got this big chance that you only get once in a lifetime. She got randomly invited to perform on stage by Sir Richard Branson, who was a guest speaker that day. Natalie sang her original song "Weakness." Her voice touched everyone. That was a key moment in her life as it was the beginning of her journey from being a teacher to a rising star in the music world.

So taking this big jump into the music world, Natalie Clark went from the calm surroundings of Scotland to the buzzing music scene in Los Angeles. Her bold move really paid off as she quickly made a name for herself. Her unique performances and sound got her into big festivals and tours across the country. She even earned the title of Mercedes Benz KTLA "Artist to Watch." And on July 19th, she released "A Place Called Home," which is the first single of her upcoming debut album. You hear these electro sounds throughout the track with synth-pop elements. It’s got this whole 80’s vibe going on along with melodic vocals, and a warm, angelic touch. The song’s energetic drums and electric guitar hooks give off the feel of a nighttime drive.

Natalie's talent and hard work didn’t go unnoticed. She got featured in a big Mercedes Benz commercial and sang at famous places like the Roxy on Sunset and The Greek Theatre in LA. Things got even more exciting when she opened for the Grammy-winning Indigo Girls on their tour. She got celebrated by big artists like Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton. Music Connection Magazine named her a ‘Hot 100 Live Artist,’ and her songs have been in a number of Netflix shows and a feature film soundtrack. Her song "Ready to Roll" has also won 'Best Original Song' at the Austin Under the Stars Film Festival. Richard Branson even wrote articles celebrating her music and her unconventional journey.

With a record deal now in the bag, Natalie Clark's debut album is on the way. This first single from the album, "A Place Called Home," was released on DVG Records. From being invited to sing by Richard Branson to signing a record deal in LA, Natalie's story shows what can happen when you grab opportunities and follow your passion. Her journey can be inspiring for a lot of new artists and it proves that with real talent, hard work, and a bit of luck, dreams really can come true.
