Sophia Bavishi: Redefining Electropop with New Release ‘GTPS’

“GTPS” is a catchy electropop track that describes these different emotions that come with being young. There’s the fun and excitement, but also the ups and downs of growing up and trying to figure out what this life is about. You can hear catchy synths and beats that get you from the start. And Sophia Bavishi’s vocals come in. They have this dreamy sound quality that make you stop whatever you’re doing and listen. The song’s about that feeling of standing right on the edge of becoming an adult and at this point it’s like you just want to hang on to your freedom and spontaneity even though you know things are about to change big time. It’s a celebration of those carefree moments and while also acknowledging that they won’t last forever.

Sophia’s talent and creativity are highlighted in “GTPS”. She did everything herself—writing, producing, and performing the whole track. She has put a lot of thought into every note, every detail. The song’s been mixed by Mark Daniel and mastered by Jorge Costa and together they helped polish the track and make it into this final product. It’s the kind of song that gets you emotionally but also makes you want to move. With her artistry, she’s taking real-life emotions and turn them into music that’s just electric.

Sophia is from Phoenix and she’s crafted a sound that is truly hers. There are influences that you can recognize in her music like Charli XCX and Kenya Grace, with those catchy pop hooks mixed with dance and electronica, very high-energy. Her songs connect with people. She mixes lyrics that listeners can relate to with hypnotic beats and a dreamy atmosphere. She's really getting attention right now, and she's quickly becoming one of the freshest new talents in the pop world.

Outside of the recording studio, Sophia has been performing across Phoenix and playing at different venues and even shared the stage with bands like Dirty Loops and AltBloom/DoubleCamp. In the past year, she’s stepped up her game by incorporating Ableton into her live shows. She puts together loops and beats in real time. It’s great to see her experiment with new sounds, mixing in ambient, techno, and electronica, but she still keeps that emotional and danceable vibe that makes her music so good to listen to.
