Blooming Into Her Own: Sonia Stein Releases New EP ‘Blooming Season Part 1’

Warsaw/London-based singer-songwriter Sonia Stein is known for her soulful vibe, her mix of pop, R&B, and electronic sounds. She dropped her new single called ‘Blooming Season’  on October 9th and is actually the title track for her EP, ‘Blooming Season Part 1’ which came out on November 8th. Last year, she released her debut album, ‘Lessons From Earth’ and she toured with the UK and Ireland with James Arthur, playing to sold-out crowds. After that, she went straight back to the studio and kicked things off with this the second track on the EP ‘Insatiable’, which she released while also touring with Lucy Spraggan. 

In ‘Blooming Season’, Sonia continues the journey of introspection. The song is all about being present and appreciating those magical moments, even though you know they won’t last forever. She actually said it’s about wanting to fully surrender to the moment. She has a unique way of blending her sound with thoughtful lyricism. It’s a song that feels personal but somehow also seems to speak to everyone. It reflects Sonia’s ability to translate deep emotions into melodies that just stick with you. 

Sonia teamed up with this Polish producer, Duit, for ‘Blooming Season’, and it’s an amazing collaboration. He’s clebrated for blending pop, ambient, and electronic vibes. With its lush production and emotive lyrics, ‘Blooming Season’ sets the tone for the EP’s exploration of love, longing, and growth. In this four-track EP, there’s a cohesive yet varied listening experience. ‘Clothes Off’, the second track of the EP has this cool 80s feel with pulsing drums and dreamy vocals. The EP closes with ‘Everything At Once’, which is more nostalgic but still a catchy ballad.

With ‘Blooming Season Part 1’, Sonia continues to show her commitment to artistic growth and authenticity. Every song on it has its own vibe but everything is connected, from the expansive vocal performance in ‘Insatiable’ to the strong hooks that define her sound. It’s an amazing collection of songs that highlights Sonia’s ability to evolve while staying true to herself. Sonia Stein reaffirms her place as an artist to watch as she delivers music that’s emotional, real and just has this magic to it.
