Pembroke’s Sierra Levesque Releases Second Original Single, “WRONG ABOUT YOU”

Pembroke native Sierra Levesque released her original single, WRONG ABOUT YOU’. She’s only 19, but Sierra’s talent shines through in this slow pop/rock piano-based ballad. The track shows her versatile vocal abilities and shows a different side of her as she explained herself: “With this latest song, I really wanted to showcase a different side of myself, musically.” The young artist continues to impress her growing fanbase with her skills and ability to create personal and dynamic music.

Sierra’s song WRONG ABOUT YOU’ is a shift in her style. It’s way softer and more emotional compared to her first single, GET OFF MY STAGE’. If you liked her fun Christmas cover of Run Rudolph Run, this new one has a totally different vibe. This shows how much she’s also growing as an artist, taking risks and exploring new ways of approaching music. Not to mention that she wrote, recorded, and played all the instruments herself. The final mix, mastering, and co-production were handled by guitarist and producer Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, known for his work with Guns N’ Roses, Asia, and Sons of Apollo.

Sierra is a graduate of Bishop Smith Catholic High School, and is now pursuing a Songwriting Degree through Berklee College of Music’s online program. Recognized for her guitar skills, she’s been featured on Guitar.com as “Gen Z’s Most Ambitious New Guitarist” and she’s even on a list of "10 Young Shredders Shaping Rock and Metal Today." This single really shows off how versatile she is—it’s like this perfect mix of Pop, Rock, and Metal, but with soul and emotion.

Beyond her music, Sierra’s star continues to rise. She got her first full feature on the Guitar World website, where she talked about her music, inspirations, and everything she’s been working on. And on top of that, she’s been nominated for "Artist of the Year" at the 2024 Ottawa Awards by Faces Magazine. With her passion and drive for music, it’s clear that her talent is taking her way beyond Pembroke. She’s definitely getting a well-deserved spotlight on the national and global stage.
