Caitty Unleashed: Redefining Her Sound With New Single "Revenge"

In new single "Revenge," Caitty swings the door wide open to a side of her music we 've never heard. Moving away from her acoustic/folk/country roots, Caitty dives headfirst into a darker, sexier soundworld that demands to be heard. "Revenge" is like a raw power surge, complete with searing emotions and rough-around-the-edges honesty. If last single "Alone" was the heartbreak, this is the clapback—and it's glorious.

The magic of "Revenge" is not solely a result of Caitty's uncompromising lyrics, although that doesn't hurt, either. It's also a result of her teaming up with producer Yoga, whose creative collaboration started online and was clearly gold. Yoga brought the snarling edge Caitty was seeking, stripping the melody down to something edgy and radical. She recorded the track in her home studio and it's a new Caitty, period—bolder, braver, and completely unfiltered. 

No two ways about it: "Revenge" is an anthem for all of us who've ever been burned and chose to rise up from the ashes stronger than before. Caitty doesn't cite any musical influences for this track because, quite frankly, she didn't need any. The narrative is raw, real, and one that many of us will know all too well. This is more than a style change—not just an impressive statement in dark melodies and deep feeling but a showcase of the talent Caitty presents as a songwriter and musician.

And for the future? Caitty is just getting started. "I learn so much more with each release I put out," she reflects on the wild ride so far. "I can't think of anything I would rather do than take words off the paper and watch them unfold into something insane." With "Revenge," Caitty isn't so much experimenting as exploding out of the box in which she previously lived, and it's easy to see she's here to stay.
