M3G Releases New Single "Rooks": A Story of Freedom, Harmony, and Growth

M3G is a singer/songwriter from Chippenham in Wiltshire, and she has been writing her own songs for as long as she can remember. In addition to this, she has been playing live gigs since the age of 14. M3G cites the likes of Florence Welch from Florence + The Machine, AURORA, and dodie as some of her musical influences in her own unique blend of music that includes her own lyrics and emotive singing.

M3G has been active in the music industry officially releasing music since 2023. She's developed a style that is personal and atmospheric, exploring themes of serenity, connection, and discovery of self. She puts a lot of attention to detail into how she creates her songs that she combines with rich vocals.

With her new song Rooks, she celebrates an important step as an artist. The track was recorded in Bristol along with Phil Cooper. M3G handled lead, harmony vocals and lead guitar, whereas Cooper was on the bass and the drums. M3G was inspired by the dynamic vocals and dramatic contrasts of Florence + the Machine, however Roots features a lot of different harmonies that makes the overall sound even richer.

Lyrically, Rooks reflects a personal turning point, emerging from the experience of a repressive relationship and focusing on reclaiming freedom, identity, and passion. Following a year that included finishing her A-levels and supporting Frank Turner at the Bristol O2 Academy, M3G is now back in the studio recording new material, with more releases planned and her debut album on the horizon.
